The Two Pueblo Maidens™ jewelry line is owned and operated by Shannon Carr-Stevens and her husband Mark D. Stevens, both enrolled members of the Laguna Pueblo tribe in central New Mexico.
We are a small Native American owned business and operate directly from the Pueblo of Laguna, NM.
Bios
Shannon Carr-Stevens
Raised in Laguna Pueblo, NM and graduated from Laguna-Acoma High School. In 1993, she received her BA in English from the University of New Mexico. Shannon's parents are Daniel Carr (Laguna Pueblo - Paguate Village) and Rachel Jenkins-Carr (Hopi - Kykotsmovi) and she has one brother Stacey E. Carr.
Mark D. Stevens
Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. In 1996, returned back home to Laguna pueblo and settled permanently in New Mexico. Mark is an accomplished artist/silversmith in his own right and participates in prestigious juried art shows around the country. Mark's parents are David Stevens (Italian - Sulmona) and Norma Thomas-Stevens (Laguna Pueblo - Mesita Village). Mark has one brother, Dean Stevens and two sisters Lauren Kabeary and Tina Stevens. He also has many many many cousins, neices and nephews.
Mark and Shannon have one son, Marcus Tyler who loves playing the drums, the bass guitar, loves Motley Crue and Iron Maiden, and for the very first time - made the honor roll at school this past semester. Way cool!
